Some folks wait all year to see a groundhog’s shadow…
But here in Downtown Beaverton, we put our faith in something far more reliable: The Mighty Beaver

After a careful deliberation (and possibly some tail-slapping), the Beaver has spoken. And we can officially report: There will be 2 to 12 weeks of winter remaining.

As always, the Beaver has never let us down—mostly because no one has dared to question him. Stay warm friends, and trust the Beaver, Spring WILL arrive....eventually.

The Beaverton Area B

The Beaverton Area Business Association held its Annual Meeting on January 14 at the Beaverton Tavern, and it was a great success!

The meeting was well attended and kicked off with a welcome address from Miss Gladwin County, Bree Visser, along with introductions of the 2026 Miss Gladwin County contestants. The event also included the election of the 2026 BABA officers, the unveiling of our new BABA website, and an exciting presentation on using Artificial Intelligence in small businesses by Karin Jensen of the Small Business Development Center.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event a success. We’re looking forward to an exciting year ahead for BABA and our local business community!
